Since 2019, KAURI, offers an unprecedented association between Swiss watchmaking – the heart of the project – and precious woods.
The first models, two limited collections of only 50 watches, are created with rare wood species from all over the world, some of which dating back thousands of years, and a metal capsule protecting the Swiss automatic movement.
Each step of the watch design process, from technical drawings to prototyping, as well as the precious wood case manufacturing and the final assembly of the watch are carried out at the KAURI workshop in Geneva by the independent watchmaker, Samuel Gillioz.
