Presentation

Since 1961, everything at Sinn has revolved around high-quality mechanical watches. Buyers of SINN watches swear by the performance, robustness and durability, quality and precision of the watches. Functionality has the highest priority. The watches boast technological features that make sense and have no fashion background. Owner Dipl.-Ing. Lothar Schmidt paraphrases it like this: “Products have to speak for themselves.”

DIN 8330 Horology – Aviator watches

The German DIN standards in the watch sector have enjoyed the highest reputation in Germany and internationally for many years. At the suggestion and with the intensive participation of Sinn Spezialuhren, a completely new German watch standard was developed for the first time in decades with DIN 8330: Zeitmesstechnik – Fliegeruhren within the framework of the DIN working group for pilot watches and introduced in 2016. It defines the requirements for functionally safe and reliable pilot watches in institutional, professional and civil aviation. With this step, Sinn Spezialuhren continues its decades of experience and expertise in the field of pilot watches and takes on a new, technologically demanding challenge.

Sinn Spezialuhren has stood for high-functioning mechanical watches since 1961. Our pilot’s watches, diver’s watches, chronographs and mission timers are not only convincing for pilots, divers and the elite unit GSG 9. Especially due to our technologies such as DIAPAL, Ar-Dehumidifying Technology, HYDRO and TEGIMENT, our watches prove their robustness and longevity, quality and precision time and again, especially in everyday and extreme situations. In the development process at Sinn Spezialuhren, the design of our watches is therefore consistently based on the required functionality.
